About

Ste Contreras is a Seattle based interdisciplinary artist working with ceramics, fiber art, and electronics. Influenced by experience in the queer performance art scene and their background in computer engineering, Ste’s art combines dynamic colors and textures, non-traditional constructions, and geometric forms to create pieces that playfully subvert expectations. Contreras is a member of Pottery Northwest, and has been included in their Digging Deeper Exhibition. Their interactive pieces have featured in Betty Wetter’s Blue Xmas and Errors Tour shows in Seattle and Portland.
